OVERLAND OF MONGOLIA TOUR
Be prepared to explore an adventurous off-road trip through southern and central part of Mongolia represents two different sceneries, highlighting the ruins of the ancient capital city of the Mongol Empire in the center, the first ever dinosaur discoveries and remarkable giant sand dunes in the south. The excitement and the sound of nature will follow you all the time while you are discovering the nomadic soul and culture.
This trip is the best way to get experienced of Mongolia with the different aspects that make you feel Mongolian traditional lifestyle and magnificent landscape. We start the trip in the Ancient Capital Karakorum and then flying to Gobi Desert of Mongolia which is treasure of Mongolia.
Gobi desert is not flat area, which you are going to witness. Used to be ancient ocean floor, Gobi desert offers you to see mountains, rivers, cliffs, and beautiful sunrise and sunset. One of some examples why Gobi desert is so much famous is that American expedition led by Roy Chapman Andrews returned home with the first dinosaur eggs ever discovered, from Mongolia's Gobi Desert. Imagine yourself sitting at the top of flaming cliffs where the expedition discovered the first dinosaur eggs, while enjoying the sunset. Furthermore, the highlight continues to Khongoryn Els or Singing dune that lies within Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. At Khongoryn Els, you will enjoy beautiful sand dunes, mountains, two-humped Bactrian camels, nomadic lifestyle and narrow streams, looks unlike Sahara desert.

Itinerary
DAY 1. ULAANBAATAR: THE CAPITAL OF MODERN MONGOLIA.
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. After lunch, city tour including a visit to Buddhist Monastery of Gandantegchenling with the morning prayer ceremony. Afterwards an excursion to the Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get your bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city. Overnight at selected hotel (B/L/D)
DAY 2. AMARBAYASGALANT. 360 km
After breakfast in the hotel, we drive to the Amarbayasgalant Monastery, one of three biggest monastic centers in Mongolia, erected by order of Emperor Manchu in memory of the great Mongolian monk and creator Zanabazar. On our way to get the monastery, we have a lunch at restaurant in Erdenet city, third largest city in Mongolia. Dinner and overnight stay in a tourist camp. BLD
DAY 3. KHUTAG UNDUR AND THE RIVER OF SELENGE. 280 km
After breakfast we drive to Bulgan province heading Khutag Undur village, where we stay in a tourist camp at the Selenge Murun river, one of Mongolia's long rivers. Walk follows the river in the beautiful nature. BLD
DAY 4. KHATGAL AND LAKE KHUVSGUL. 360 km
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Khuvsgul. Lake Khovsgol is the deepest in Central Asia (260 meters), which pure and crystalline water can even be drunk. It is certainly the most beautiful lake in Mongolia and the preferred destination for western tourists. Accommodation at a tourist camp located on the shores of the lake. Dinners and overnight stays for two nights . BLD
DAY 5. LAKE KHUVSGUL
Breakfast, and then we drive to visit to the reindeer people. Lunch at the camp and in the afternoon free time. Possibility to go in the canyon, motorboat or to dowel the horse optionaly. We have optional for trekking (you can go up and down) for 5 and 6 hours in the mountain area Uran dush, 2500m high and packed lunch. BLD
DAY 6. UUSHGIIN UVUR DEER STONE MONUMENT. 115 km
After breakfast, we drive to south taking same road back to Delgermurun river bank. After lunch visit the ancient deer stone on the other hand megaliths carved with symbols that can be found in Siberia and Mongolia. The deer steles are also called. These steles were probably erected originally by nomadic peoples of the Bronze Age around 1,000 BC. Although further research seems to support the hypothesis of Cimmeric origin. Lunch, dinner and overnight in the camp. BLD
DAY 7. JARGALANT HOT SPRING. 230 km
Today we head south, crossing Moron and continuing towards the Khangai mountains. These mountains vary greatly in appearance from gray and gray rock slopes covered with vegetation that dominate river valleys populated by ger camp. From the mountains of Khangai comes the river Selenge that flows into Lake Baikal. We will see the hot springs of Jargalant and we will drive up and downhill of Tsagaan Burgas mountain. Overnight in a tourist ger camp and dinner. BLD
DAY 8-9. TERKHIIN TSAGAAN NUUR AND KHORGHIIN TOGOO 130 km
Breakfast at the tourist ger camp, we drive to Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park. We visit to extinct Khorgo Volcano in the park. The Great Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan (the Great White Lake) is surrounded by the mountains of the Tarvagatain Nuruu chain. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp. We drive to volcano to climb up to the top of the crater and you can walk along the edge of the crater too. You will enjoy the morning and evening view right at the bank of the lake and have some leisure time. BLD
DAY 10-11. TSENKHER HOT SPRING 210 km
After breakfast, we drive south-east, along the Chuluut River canyon. During the trip, excursion to the Rock Taikhar Chuluu on our way. We will stop in the village of Tsetserleg, a characteristic locality of the Province of Arkhangai. The next stop is at hot springs in Tsenkher, where a steam bath can relax at the end of the day. Second day we ride horse or go trekking. Dinner and overnight in a tourist camp. BLD
DAY 12. KHARKHORIN. 120km
After breakfast at the camp, we drive north again heading to town Kharkhorin located on the site of the capital of the 13th century Great Mongol Empire. In this town, we visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery, one of the biggest monastic centers in Mongolia, which was almost destroyed in the communist purges of the 1930s too. Tour of the monastery grounds and several chapels with excellent examples of Buddhist iconography dating from the 16th century. Then we visit Kharkhorin museum, which presents a display of a wide range of the Great Mongol Empire and even the Turkic state which ruled Mongolia in the 6th century CE. Overnight in a tourist camp. DAY 13. ONGI MONASTERY. 250 km
Breakfast and we drive to north heading Ongi Monastery ruins, where just a century ago over a thousand Lamas resided. It was one of the three largest monastic centres of Mongolia and fell victim to the Stalinist purges of 1937. After lunch, explore the ruined Ongi monastery that is undergoing a slow but steady rebuilding process. Overnight stay in a tourist camp. BLD
DAY 14. BAYANZAG 130 km
Breakfast and we drive to Bayanzag, known as Flaming Cliffs exploring the ‘Gobi Dinosaur Cemetery’ and the trail of Roy Chapman Andrews and his team spot. If the sky is clear without clouds, you can enjoy sunset in flat desert area, which is so romantic action. Overnight in a tourist camp (B/L/D)
DAY 15. KHONGORIIN ELS 150 km
Today we will dedicate the day for the excursion to Seruun Bulag spring and sand dunes. The sand dunes cover 925 square kilometers and are situated at an altitude of 1040 – 1840 meters above sea level. The dunes are 150 km long, between 3 and 20 km wide and highest peak is 195 meters. Overnight in the same tourist camp (B/L/D)
DAY 16. YOLIIN AM. 210km
In the morning, we drive to Dalanzadgad city, central city of South Gobi province and upon arrival drive to the tourist camp to relax and have lunch. In the afternoon, we drive to the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park for hiking till the end of valley and an opportunity to take photograph of stunning landscape, the Gobi Glacier and intriguing wildlife. En route back to the tourist camp we visit local museum about the province itself. You will enjoy a peaceful evening in the beautiful surrounds of the Gobi Desert amongst rocky cliffs. DAY 17. TSAGAAN SUVRAGA. 280 km
After breakfast we drive to Tsagaan Suvarga, which may be translated as the White Stupa Mountain. It is naturally formed beautiful mountain, which is a copper ore deposit. The name was given to this limestone cliff because of the way it looks form far. Hiking and photo shooting opportunities will be present. Overnight stay in a camp. (B/L/D)
DAY 18. BAGA GAZRIIN CHULUU. 280 km
After breakfast in the hotel, we drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu. The Baga Gazriin Chuluu is the rock formation which gives an opportunity to hiking along the hills. On the way stop by underground spring that is rumored to have healing properties for the eye. Overnight stay in a camp. (B/L/D)
DAY 19. ULAANBAATAR. 220 km.
Breakfast at the tourist camp. We drive to Ulaanbaatar and have a lunch in a restaurant then we visit to Bogd Khan Summer and Winter Palace museum of the last Mongolian King VIII, who ruled the country until 1924. It is an exact representation of a functioning monastery. In the afternoon, leisure time for individual plans and shopping.We assist you traditional concert at 6 pm. We have a farewell dinner in real barbeque restaurant and check in the hotel. (B/L/D)

Early in the morning, we transfer to the airport and departure.
